Information we process

When you create or use an account, we process your email address, account identifiers, authentication records, and any display name you provide. We also process your recipe access, subscription status, program progress, achievements, and interactions needed to provide the service.

If you submit a Proof of Crust photo or other content, we process the file, submission details, review status, and moderator notes. Recipe submission is not currently available, but the service is designed to process recipe content you choose to submit when that feature launches.

Payments

Payments use Stripe-hosted Checkout and, for subscribers, Stripe's Customer Portal. Big Sky Cooking does not directly collect or store raw card numbers or card security codes. We receive and store limited billing references and status information needed to grant access, display subscription status, process refunds, prevent duplicate fulfillment, and reconcile payment events.

Cookies, local storage, and diagnostics

Supabase authentication uses cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and protect account sessions. The Taken to 11 feature stores a small preference in your browser after you accept its first-use notice. We do not currently use advertising pixels or optional analytics trackers. Our hosting and security providers may process basic request information, such as IP address, browser information, timestamps, and error or security logs, to deliver and protect the service.

How we use and share information

We use information to operate accounts, deliver recipes and progression features, process purchases and refunds, review submissions, provide support, secure and troubleshoot the service, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Service providers currently include Supabase for authentication, database, and private file storage; Stripe for billing and hosted payment pages; and Vercel for application hosting. They process information for us under their own service terms and privacy practices.

Retention, deletion, and security

We keep account and submitted content while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and support the service. Billing, refund, fraud-prevention, security, and legal records may be kept longer where reasonably necessary or required. To request access, correction, or deletion, email us. We may retain information that must be kept for legal, accounting, dispute, or security purposes, or de-identify it where appropriate.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls, private storage for proof photos, restricted server credentials, and signed payment webhooks. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
